This group is a place for Parents, Grandparents and Carers (of a person with Aspergers or High Functioning Autism) to meet, share their experiences and support each other.
We have a range of parents who attend, who have children of varying ages from toddlers through to young adults. The group is structured/facilitated to allow opportunity for all attendees to talk if they wish.
This month the group has a speaker from Gecko Hangouts coming to chat to us. They "seek to improve the wellbeing and life prospects of the highly skilled unique individuals with autism in our community". Refer to https://www.geckohangouts.com/ for more information
Some months are focused on a topic of interest. Attendance varies from month to month, and it's great to talk to others who have been through similar challenges.
The building lies on North Rd, between Wheatley Rd & Queen St. Parking is available in these streets. Please do not park in the driveway as it is for the office workers only. Come straight in, up the stairs & you'll find us.
We rely on donations and memberships to provide specialised support, advocate for change and fill the gap in the specific services our community needs. Donate now and help us empower Aspergers. All donations are tax deductible.
