"Social Butterflies" Group

Teen Girls Social Group

This month the Butterflies are back - with some Friday night Cookie, Bracelet and Friendship making! Come and have fun making cookies and chatting with new  friends! Meet our peer mentors, Veronica and Sunny, who are always up for a chat. We're meeting at  Power Neighbourhood House.

Cost:  $15 AV members or $25 Non-Members. Includes Equipment/ingredients for activities.  Please pay prior to atending with your registration. No cash on the night please, it put unnecessary stress on our volunteers.

This group was initiated and designed by our peer mentors, as a space where girls can get together and share ideas and experiences.  It is for ages 12 to 18 as an extension of our teens group.

Aspergers Victoria volunteers with lived experience run all meetings and welcome new families. All group leaders have a Working With Children Check.  Refer to our Groups page for more information.

Our teen attendees should be independent in a group setting, with no carers in the Teen group.  Our Teen group and peer leaders are very encouraging and welcoming with their peers..

If you are not a member you can come try the group and then join Aspergers Victoria at https://aspergersvic.org.au/join-us

Please NoteA parent or carer is required to stay on the premises.  You are invited to join the other parents to catch up on your month in another area nearby. We will give the teens an intake form (for first visit only) and a feedback form at the end of the event to complete.

We would welcome a tax deductible donation to support further training of our peer leaders and other volunteers.

Getting There:   There is street parking or parking at Power Neighbourhood House car park is also fine. The venue is approximately 10 minutes' walk from Holmeglen station, which is serviced by the Glen Waverley line and various bus e.g 903..
