Teens Hub: Pancake Parlour
Our Teens group is for Aspergers and autistic teens or those with a similar neurodiverse profile to meet and hang out to play games or chat while their parents/carers meet in another room at the same venue to chat, provide support and share ideas and advice.
We're finally meeting again in person at the Pancake Parlour in Malvern East! We have booked two areas within the restaurant. Please ask for the Aspergers Victoria group when you arrive.
- In the party room, teens will be supervised by our Teens Mentors: Cal, Sunny, Jack J, Jack D, and Cal.
- In another area of the restaurant, parents will be met by our Parents Group Leader to chat and exchange experiences.
All AV volunteer group leaders share the lived experience of their group participants and welcome new attendees. All AV group leaders have a Working with Children Check.
Do I need to register?
All attendees to AV's online and in-person groups and events must register before attending. For Zoom meetings, you need to register to access the Zoom details. For in-person meetings, registration is required due to DHHS COVID contact tracing and venue capacity limits. Spaces are limited to 15 teens for this event and you will need to register to secure your teen's space.
Each teen must be accompanied by a parent or carer. The parent or carer must remain on site for the duration of the event and is responsible for any costs incurred by their teen including food or beverage purchases.
How do I register my teen?
The event registration form will ask you for the name and age of your teen, as well as the name and contact details of the parent or carer who will be accompanying them. When your registration is complete, you will receive a QR code which you will need to present either as a printout or as an image on your smart phone to access the event. If you have multiple teens attending from your family, please contact Jenni for assistance: email@example.com
Please register the parent or carer as the primary attendee and please add your teen's details in the registration form. This is a requirement of our COVIDSafe plan and will help us to comply with DHHS requirements. If you need assistance or if you have more than one teen attending, please contact Jenni: firstname.lastname@example.org
Cost: $5 Members, $10 Non-Members. If you are attending an AV group for the first time, you are welcome to attend for free. Please email email@example.com to access this.
If cost is a barrier, please contact Carla - firstname.lastname@example.org

What can I expect when I attend an AV COVIDSafe event?
AV is closely following DHHS COVID-19 requirements and our in-person events have changed to comply with these. We encourage you to read our AV COVIDSafe policy before you attend in-person events at AV in 2021. This includes important information about our QR code check-in system and what you need to bring with you to an event. As the venue capacity is reduced and spaces are limited, please register if you would like to attend to ensure you don't miss out.
Please note that DHHS advice may change and we will do our best to communicate any changes in AV COVID-19 policy to our community.
If you have questions about registration, our COVIDSafe policy or would like more information: contact Jenni (AV Admin) via email@example.com
