Partners Group: In-Person Meeting

About our Partners Group

Join our Partners Peer Support Group to meet other adults who are or who have been in a relationship with someone who has Aspergers, is autistic, or has a similar neurodivergent profile. Sharing experiences within the safe environment of our peer support meetings can be a lifeline, and sharing with people who have similar lived experience is validating and often educational. Your partner may be self-diagnosed or have a formal diagnosis, and you may share a household or live separately. We are an inclusive group and welcome partners of all genders and relationship types. The topic this month will be Recognising Signs of Burnout.

This session is facilitated by our Partners Group Leaders. All AV volunteer group leaders share the lived experience of their group participants and welcome new attendees.

Do I need to register?

All attendees to AV's online and in-person groups and events must register before attending. For Zoom meetings, you need to register to access the Zoom details. For in-person meetings, all attendees need to register before attending due to DHHS COVID contact tracing requirements and venue requirements. Please register if you would like to attend to ensure you don't miss out.

Cost: $10 for members, $15 for non-members, FREE for +Groups membership holders.

Become an AV member today to access discounted tickets for groups and events, members-only programs and interest groups, and to support all the wonderful work our volunteers and staff team do for our community.

If you are attending an AV group for the first time, you are welcome to register for free using our first-time attendee ticket. Please email our AV admin team to access this.

Why do I need to register?

All attendees must register before attending an AV activity.

For in-person events, this allows us to ensure that we have enough volunteers attending on the night to support the group, and to ensure that the venue can safely accommodate all attendees.

In the event that the activity is cancelled or transferred to an online meeting, we will only be able to let you know if you have registered.

What can I do if there are no remaining spaces?

If there are currently no spaces available, this means that the activity is fully booked and no further attendees can register at the moment.

If you are interested in attending and would like to be notified if a space becomes available, please click "Join Waitlist" to add your name to the waitlist. In the event that another attendee contacts the AV admin team to cancel their space, we will email those on the waitlist to let them know.

What can I expect when I attend an AV COVIDSafe event?

AV is closely following the COVID-19 requirements outlined by the Victorian Government and our in-person events have changed to comply with these.

Restrictions in Victoria have changed as of 19 November 2021, and we recommend reading this information sheet issued by the Victorian Government. It outlines the current DHHS requirements at venues for attendees, including checking in, vaccination, distancing, and masks.

You are welcome to bring a drink and snack if you would like to, however in line with our current COVIDSafe plan, these are not able to be shared.

Who can I contact if I have questions or need assistance?

If you have questions about the event, about AV, or need assistance with registering, please contact our AV admin team: call 0480 385 710 or email us.

Please note that our email inbox is not monitored outside business hours.
