Our COVIDSafe Plan

AV is closely following the Victorian government COVID-19 requirements. We have developed a COVID-Safe Plan to help keep our staff, volunteers and members safe and minimise the risk of spreading COVID-19. These guidelines apply to all of our in-person gatherings, including group meetings, workshops, interest groups, and AV speaker events.

AV’s COVIDSafe plan includes information about:

• what you can expect at an AV COVIDSafe gathering
• what you need to bring with you to a gathering
• registering for in person gatherings
• refreshments at AV gatherings
• checking in at venues with the venue's QR code

Our plan is closely linked the the Victorian Health Department guidelines.

We encourage you to read the latest Victorian Government requirements before you attend in-person events at AV.

Please note that Victorian government advice may change at short notice.

We will do our best to keep this page up to date with our most recent COVIDSafe approaches for in person activities.

Important things to note

• All attendees to our online and in-person groups and events must register before attending.
  For in-person meetings, this is particularly important due to DHHS COVID requirements and venue capacity limits.
  In the event that an in-person event needs to be moved to an online event, this also helps us to contact everyone who was interested in attending.
  
  

• Our in-person group meetings have been really popular, so it’s important to register before attending to make sure that we have a space for you.
  If the group meeting is fully booked, it may not be possible for our group leaders to add your name at the venue if you haven’t pre-registered.

• If you have registered for an activity but you can no longer attend, we encourage you to cancel your place so we can offer the space to another person.
