| The Rainbow Spectrum Group is a safe, inclusive, and affirming peer support space for Autistic individuals who identify within the LGBTQIA+ community. This group celebrates the diversity of both Neurodivergent and Queer identities, recognizing that everyone’s experience is unique and valid. We offer a welcoming environment where members can share experiences, build connections, and support one another without judgment. Whether you're looking to talk, listen, learn, or simply exist alongside others who understand, The Rainbow Spectrum Group is a place where you can be your authentic self. You belong here—exactly as you are. Who is this group for? Our LGBTQIA+ Group is for individuals aged 18 and older who are peers of the autistic community AND the LGBTQIA+ community. We welcome adults at all stages of the assessment / diagnostic journey, including self-diagnosed. As this is a parent/carer-free zone, we invite any parents or carers of attendees to join our separate Parents & Carers Group. If you are a peer of the group as well as being a parent, you are of course most welcome to attend individually. Please note that our peer support groups are for peers only and attendees do need to be able to participate independently in the activity without support from a parent, carer, or support worker. When does this group meet? The Rainbow Spectrum Group meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month, alternating between Online Meetings conducted over Zoom and In-Person Meetings held at a hospitality venue. You can register for all upcoming meetings below. How can I register for the next group meeting? To make sure we contact you when the details of the first group meeting are finalised, please add your name to our AV mailing list. Visit the Join our AV Mailing List page, enter your first name and your email address, tick "Peer Support Groups - LGBTQIA+" as an area of interest, as well as any other topics you're interested in, and we'll include you in future emails. If you would like more information, please email our AV admin team. |
