By joining Aspergers Victoria as a member, you will be playing a vital role in the invaluable ongoing work AV does to provide opportunities for people with Aspergers, autistic people, and the wider neurodivergent community to connect, share stories and information, find meaningful employment opportunities, and most importantly, feel part of a community who just “gets” you.

As a valued AV personal member, you will have access to a wide range of member benefits, including discounts and guest tickets, access to member discounts for peer support and access to register for member-only interest groups, as well as having the opportunity to contribute to the development of AV into the future.

AV Personal Memberships - Overview


Our AV Personal Memberships are designed for individuals and families who wish to access all of the advantages of being an AV member for themselves and those they support or care for in their family. These options have been designed in conjunction with feedback and ongoing consultation with our members and the wider community, and they are inclusive of a range of family situations, budgets, and needs.


Within our Personal Memberships category, we offer:

  • Individual Membership for one adult OR one adult + one child under 18
Best option if you are an individual adult, a single-parent of one child, or one adult and one child within a larger family.
  • Family Membership for one adult plus up to four additional people of any age in the same family.
Best option for all kinds of family structures: a parent and child aged 18+, two parents + children of any age, two adults, etc.
If you have more than five people in your family who would like to be able to access AV member benefits, please contact our Memberships Coordinator

  • +Groups Memberships. 
You asked us to make the registration process for frequent groups attendees easier, faster, and more accessible. 
We listened, and we are thrilled that the +Groups membership is so popular with our members.
Holders of this membership can register for free for all regular peer support groups within their membership period.
Available as an Individual Membership +Groups or a Family Membership +Groups.



Payment / renewal options include auto-renew (requires PayPal) or one-year (PayPal, credit card, or bank transfer).

AV Personal Membership Benefits


All AV Personal Membership holders enjoy AV general member benefits as well as additional AV personal member benefits, which include:

  • Member discounts for all AV peer group meetings to help you to connect, share stories and information, have fun and most importantly feel like you belong to a community who just get you.

  • Access to register for AV members-only interest groups such as Dungeons & Dragons, Minecraft, and more.

  • Access to register for AV members-only employment and coaching programs such as the Teens Work KnowHow Program, Job Coaching, and more.

  • Access to AV’s closed moderated social media groups to allow members to connect and network online between meetings and events

  • Invitations to AV member special offers such as the opportunity to register for tickets to events hosted by AV’s partner organisations

Personal Memberships: Additional Benefits, Structure, and Fees



Individual Membership

  • Membership fee: $50 per year

  • Membership structure: one adult or one adult + one child aged under 18.

  • Best option if you are:

    • an individual adult

    • a single-parent of one child OR

    • one adult and one child within a larger family.

  • Membership benefits: all AV personal member benefits for all listed members 



Family Membership

  • Membership fee: $80 per year

  • Membership structure: one adult + up to four additional people of any age.

  • Best option for all kinds of family structures:

    • a parent and child aged 18+ OR

    • two parents + children of any age OR

    • two adults, etc.

  • Membership benefits: all AV personal member benefits for all listed members


Please note that the family membership is not suitable for groups of friends across multiple households.

+Groups Memberships


Available as a Personal Membership sub-type for Individual Memberships and Family Memberships

    • Individual Membership +Groups: $90 per year

    • Family Membership +Groups: $200 per year

  • Membership benefits:

    • Access to register for free for all regular AV peer support group activities

    • All AV personal member benefits for all listed members



Important

The primary contact for all multi-person memberships must be a parent/carer of any and all members aged under 18 years within the same membership.

This is important for AV’s commitment to Child Safety.
