AV Chess club
|
Do you like playing chess? Are you interested in learning a new skill and playing with other people like you? Then join our new Chess Club! AV's new Chess Club are for people that are a part of the Aspergers autistic community or a similar neurodivergent profile that want to play chess with other members, learn how to play chess or enhance their skills. We encourage everyone who has an interest in chess or wants to give it a go to come along! This is a great opportunity to complete and play alongside other people who potentially share similar interests and experiences. |
What sort of Chess Club meetings will there be? Currently, there are online meetings for our 18+ Chess Club every Thursday. Further information about another group for our younger members will be confirmed as soon as possible. If you are interested in joining our 18+ Chess Club, register here. | What will the meetings look like? Players will meet online via Zoom and compete against each other via the online website of Chess.com. Some sessions may involve an introductory course or tips and tricks to use while playing chess. These sessions will go for two hours with breaks for our members. How can I register for the next Chess Club meeting? Our first Chess Club meeting will take place on Thursday the 2nd of May at 7pm online. There will be 9 sessions all up, finishing on the 27th of June. If you have any questions or want to discuss potential interest in the Chess Club, contact Jack or our admin team. |
