ECIS Central Intake
Early Childhood Intervention Services (ECIS) have a regional central point of entry. This provides families with easy and timely access to ECIS. Central Intake gathers information and determines whether the child meets eligibility criteria for ECIS. In the first instance referrals for ECIS must go to Central Intake who will work with the family to identify concerns, to plan next steps and to make a referral to an ECIS agency.

Kalparrin ECIS (Early Childhood Intervention Service) is situated in Greensborough, in the Northern Region of Melbourne and provides services to families residing in the local government areas of Banyule, Whittlesea and Nillumbik. Kalparrin is a not for profit organisation, overseen by a Board of Management, that receives the majority of its funding from the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development. | These funds are supplemented by fees and the generous support of the local community, service organisations, businesses and fundraising events. As well as ECIS services, Kalparrin’s qualified staff also provide a range of fee for service programs, such as HCWA, Better Start, Psychology and Dietician. Kalparrin also has a regular schedule of programs to educate and support parents and carers of children with a disability or developmental delay. |
Eastern Metropolitan Region
Irabina Irabina is a specialist early childhood intervention service that provides family centred programs from the time of diagnosis to school entry for children and their families who are challenged by Autism Spectrum Disorder and who reside predominantly in the Eastern Metropolitan Region of Melbourne.
