AV’s Career Network is where you come to share your work journey with neurodivergent peers and learn ways to ensure your career success. This is a peer group for neurodivergent adults who are working or recently been employed and who want to:

  • Learn and share ways to grow their workplace success
  • Discover how others leverage their ND strengths in their role and team
  • Work Through options to manage their challenges
  • Build your network of supporters who understand you work experiences
  • Keen to connect with peers about their work and share their stories and experiences in a safe and understanding space
  • Excited to support and leverage the talents of this awesome community and help one another succeed  together
  • Interested to change the narrative around how neurodivergence is perceived in the workplace and beyond.

Who is this group for?

The AV Career Network is for individuals aged 18 and older who are working or recently been working and who identify as having Aspergers or being autistic.

We welcome adults at all stages of the assessment / diagnostic journey, including self-diagnosed.

When does this group meet?

Our meeting are scheduled for The 1st Thursday of each month and will take place online via Zoom.

    About the Network

    AV’s Career Network is an interest group for neurodivergent-identifying adults who are, or have previously worked in, professional roles and who are keen to connect with peers, share their stories, support each other, leverage their talents, and advocate for change in the perception of neurodivergent in the workplace and beyond.

    This activity is for adults aged 18 and older who are currently or who have previously worked in professional roles and who identify as having Aspergers or being autistic. We are an inclusive group and welcome adults at all stages of the assessment / diagnostic journey, including self-diagnosed.

    Our meetings are currently held online via Zoom on the First Thursday of the Month, excluding January. We offer a bimonthly rotation of Touchstone Meetings, and Speaker Q&A Events.

    About our Facilitators

    All AV volunteer facilitators are peers of their group participants and all have a Working with Children Check.

    Cost: $10 for AV members, $15 for non-members.

    Become an AV member today to access discounted tickets for activities, members-only programs and interest groups, and to support the work our AV team does for our community.

    Anyone wishing to attend an AV activity must register before attending.

    For online events, you need to register to receive the Zoom meeting link.

    Unregistered attendees may incur an admin fee of up to $10.

    • Tech and admin support for after-hours activities is available by phone call only for an hour before the activity and for the first hour of the activity.
