Sensory Sensitive 10 Pin Bowling

Friday, 24th August 2018, 7 pm

Come and join AV teens for a fun night ten pin bowling at Healthways Recreation Centre. Mont Albert North.

Teens will have the opportunity to bowl as many games as they can fit into a 2 hour space!

This is a bargain deal at $25 per teen including Pizza (the usual cost of only 2 games at other bowling alleys).  A maximum of 40 teens can be accommodated so make sure you book your place.

Healthway’s bowling centre has been booked for the exclusive use of Aspergers Victoria teens so that AV can ensure that the environment will be sensory sensitive to all teen's needs. In addition a separate quite room with alternative games etc will be made available if teens want to take time out or prefer quiet activities.

Parents are expected to accompany their teens and the topic of discussion for parents will be “Teen social skills development - what’s available and what’s needed”.

Costs:   $25 for members of Aspergers Victoria     $35 non members

Please make sure that you let us know of your dietary requirements when registering.

Time:

7:00 - 9:00 pm

Activity for Teens:

Aspergers Victoria volunteers with lived experience run all meetings and welcome new families. All group leaders have a Working With Children Check.  Refer to our Groups page for more information.

Our teen attendees should be able function independently in the group setting, with no carers in the Teen group.  Our Teen group and peer leaders are very encouraging and welcoming with their peers. Please introduce any new teens to our Leaders on the night.

If you are not a member you can come try the group and then join Aspergers Victoria at https://aspergersvic.org.au/join-us

Please Note

  • A parent or carer is required to stay on the premises.  You are invited to join the other parents to catch up on your month in another area nearby.
  • We would welcome a tax deductible donation to support further training of our peer leaders and other volunteers.
