Southern Group Parents & Carers Peer Group

Guest Speaker: Dr Bill Patterson, Hypnotherapist/Psychotherapist

This month we have Bill Patterson coming to talk to us.  Dr Bill is a Clinical Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist who works with individuals and groups using Mindfulness Based Hypnotherapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Ego State Therapy, Ericksonian approaches that offer a resolution to underlying causes of problems, often hidden from conscious awareness.  As well as his clinical practice in Toorak, Melbourne, he has had over 25 years experience conducting workshops for both corporate and personal development and has worked with thousands of participants in transforming personal growth.

This group is a place for Parents, Grandparents and Carers (of a person with Aspergers or High Functioning Autism) to meet, share their experiences and support each other. Meetings are now held at a new venue:  Hampton Community Centre.

We have a range of parents who attend, who have children of varying ages from toddlers through to young adults. The group is structured/facilitated to allow opportunity for all attendees to talk if they wish.

Discussion Topic:

Attendees will have the chance to ask questions of Dr Bill Patterson

Cost:  $5 AV Members, or $10 for Non-Members. Please pay on registration as payment on the night puts unnecessary stress and overhead on our volunteers.

Attendance varies from month to month, and it's great to talk to others who have been through similar challenges.

Getting There:  Enter via the front door. By car: There is parking in the car park at the back of the community centre as well as in surrounding streets.  By Public Transport:  Hampton Station (Sandringham Line) is very close and there is also a bus service that stops nearby.
