Listening Group

If you are Autistic, similarly Neurodivergent and /or a person with a disability aged 18 or older, we invite you to register to join the above Listening Group: please click Register to add your name to the list.

The listening group will be on Tuesday 30 June, 6.30pm to 9.30pm, online via Zoom.

About this activity

The Victorian Government is developing the next State Disability Plan and the Victorian Autism Plan. They want to hear your feedback on what should be in both these plans. Your feedback will help shape both plans to meet the needs, rights and goals of Autistic people and people with disability.

To help with this AV will be running a Listening Group. The Listening Group will be an online discussion session for Autistic, similarly Neurodivergent and/or  people with disability over the age of 18, and their families, carers, friends, advocates and allies, to share their experiences, perspectives and feedback around key issues and questions related to the two plans. The session will be facilitated by peers with lived experience in the Autism community and designed to support safe, accessible and meaningful participation.

The Listening Group will be recorded and the de-identified transcript will be shared with the Department of Family Fairness and Housing.

Information sheets

You can find out more information about State Disability Plan and the Victorian Autism Plan in these documents. We also recommend reading them before the listening group to give you an idea of what will be seeking feedback on.
