AN INTER-ACTIVE GUEST SPEAKER PRESENTATION

Dr  Gavi Ansara Presents:

"How to Unlock your Aspie Superpowers"

Thurs 6th September 2018, 7.30 pm

What’s fabulous about Aspie people? Unlocking your Aspie superpowers, appreciating and bringing out the best in yourself and your Aspie loved ones!

This interactive presentation will also involve discussion with attendees about:

Classic Aspie/allistic communications issues and how to manage them such as:

  • Why an Aspie may feel they are the ‘bad’ one and how to deal with this
  • Why is my parent/partner always upset at me?

How you can be a cheerleader for your Aspie loved one including how to be more supportive and respectful as well as empowering?

Discovering Aspie Superpowers

The strengths that Aspie people bring to work and relationships

Practical examples and solutions that will spark questions and discussion

Aims to educate adult Aspies, and their partners/loved ones:

For Aspie people to discover confidence in themselves while loved ones learn how to understand and empower their Aspie

To learn strategies for and their loved ones to handle some common situations where Aspie and allistic people have different needs and expectations

To understand ways to improve Aspie/allistic ‘intercultural’ communication without blaming or pathologising the Aspie person, including ways Aspie people can advocate for themselves

For both Aspies and loved ones to discover some of the unique benefits and strengths - the Aspie superpowers- that Aspie people bring to their interpersonal relationships and how to activate and apply these strengths.

Who is This Presentation For?

Even though this interactive presentation is focused on adult Aspies and their loved ones, everybody that is interested in relationships and empowerment is encouraged to attend. Gavi will provide copies of his slides to attendees.
