Managing Autistic Burnout
What is autistic burnout? If you have felt emotionally, physically and mentally exhausted from day to day living, then you may just be experiencing it. Autistic burnout is a state of physical and mental fatigue, heightened stress, and reduced ability to manage daily life, sensory input, or social interactions. It's typically the result of years of living in a world which is out of sync with our needs; essentially, when life's challenges and demands continually exceed our resources.
Join us to hear our guest speakers - Paul Micallef, Barb Cook and Jane Mantzalis - share their personal and professional experience and knowledge of autistic burnout, and to discover some techniques and strategies you can try to help you and those close to you manage autistic burnout and its effects on your life.
